History & Organization

Leeds International School is a well-regarded, high achieving and popular school located across 11 major cities in Sri Lanka. It is a fully-fledged private, fee-levying, co-educational school with English as the primary medium of instruction.
Leeds has been providing education for over 20 years to over 5000 students following both London and National curriculums.
A pleasant, friendly atmosphere makes school a happy and enjoyable experience for students. It is, total personality development that the school aims in preparing students to meet challenges in life with confidence.

I wish you a warm welcome to Leeds International School. As an old Chinese Proverb goes "The journey of a thousand miles begins with a single step", since the commencement of our first school's operations on 6th September 1999 in Panadura, Sri Lanka, over the years step by step and brick by brick, we have reached the present heights. Today we have expanded our network to 11 branch schools in several main cities in the Western and Southern provinces in Sri Lanka and are now ready to commence our first branch overseas, in Singapore from August 2021.
Leeds International Schools, rich in over 21 years of educational services provision, maintain high standards in learning, teaching and discipline at all times. We have recorded Island 1st places, World Prizes and High Achievers in both British and the Sri Lankan National curriculums over the years.
Believing strongly in Total Personality Development, Leeds strives continually to make a multitude of opportunities available to our youngsters to explore and pursue their passions and be skilled, global citizens ready to face the future challenges.
While sharing the rejoicing success story of Leeds Group of International Schools I have special pride being the founder Director and also being the present Chairman of the Leeds Group of International Schools. Success of this magnitude cannot be achieved successfully without the assistance of the Principals, Deputy Principals, Academic and Non Academic Staff, Students, Parents and well-wishers. I salute all of them past and present, for their perseverance, deep affection and loyalty for Leeds.

LEEDS International School is opening-up its 1st campus in Singapore and 12th campus overall. We will be delighted to have students from different nationalities & communities. We are limiting our classes to small groups with individual classroom library. Our size allows teachers to tailor-make lessons to suit individual learning needs as well as support their families by maintaining regular, personalised and proactive communication between the school and home.
Our fee structure is at an affordable level to make private education convenient and financially possible for families in the region and we are proud of the value we provide. Our school will always provide high quality education in English and will always remain reasonably priced as compared with other international schools. These are our commitments to families who place their trust and their children in our hands.
Our goal is not to imitate or compete with the large international schools in the Singapore. Our aim is to be different and in doing so to offer more choice to parents and their children.
The English Curriculum we provide is relevant, broad and balanced education for each child. With our well rounded academic experience, we develop leadership and interpersonal skills through language, literacy and communication. Learning is not confined to the classroom. Broad range of cultural and extra-curricular activities complements and enrich their course work.
