Mala Kumar is a qualified and experienced member of the Leeds family. Her first association with Leeds School network started 20 years ago in the first campus of Leeds in Panadura, Sri Lanka. Today she is a proud Director-Academics of its 12th campus in continuity.
She has worked in a variety of diverse setting with children of multi-ethnic backgrounds. Journey of 27 years in teaching Primary students, strengthens her understanding that school values play a dynamic role in classroom learning. Mala was awarded the best student teacher award during her Bachelor of Education, and ever since she has lived up to the expectations of the students and parents in the school. She recognises that children learn and grow best in a class climate that is engaging and motivating.

She strongly promotes that the strength of curriculum lies in the harmonious rapport between a parent and teacher. Mala has always embraced challenges in classroom teaching and turned them into memorable learning experiences due to her passion for teaching.

Happily married wife and a mother to 2 loving boys, she enjoys reading and cooking. Her favourite past time is yoga and dancing. Family means the world to her, and her recent attraction is Tintin, her multilingual cava Poo puppy!

Mr.Tuan Smit has been a part of the Leeds International School since September 2021. He has a proven track record in management and maintaining a high standard of academics in all the schools and learning centres he has worked in across Japan and Singapore. Hailing from South Africa, he has over 10 years of teaching experience, including 9 years in Japanese public primary, junior and senior high schools, and 2 years in the private sector with students varying between Pre-primary and corporate level.

He holds Baccalaureus Technologiae in Motion Picture Production (Directing) from Tswane , University of technology. He has served as a certified Berlitz Assessor/Instructor, TEFL Instructor, Eiken Examiner, and an Assistant Head of the English Department at the Japanese Primary School in Singapore.

He believes all educators have a responsibility to the students, the parents, and the school, and only with strong communication between all of them can they achieve a suitable environment in which to learn. He is happily married. You may find him reading, watching movies, and playing various sports.

Mrs. Neetu Sood is a part of Leeds International school since April 2021. She has served as LFL leader representing the CAIE project. Mrs. Neetu is an approved CAIE and IBDP educator . She is serving IBO as an examiner and facilitator of the Job – alike sessions. She has served as an active member of CBSE in the managing committee of courses.

Ms. Neetu holds a Masters in education (M. ed.) from the University of California & B.com(h) from Delhi University. She completed Mastery level in French Language from Alliance Française de Delhi. She has achieved certificates for DELF A1-DELF C1. She has achieved a Diploma in Interior Designing from JD institute of Fashion Technology. For over 16 years, she has been fortunate to teach a range of students in India and Singapore. She has initiated the French Exchange Programs and also given a great insight of French culture through French Festival.

She firmly believes that it is essential to provide a safe and nurturing learning environment where all students feel they can succeed. Providing relevant real-world learning experiences has always been a major component of her teaching so learners are able to find success as global citizens. She is a self-directed, enthusiastic educator with a passionate commitment to student development and the learning experience. Her ultimate goal is helping learners reach their full potential through enriching and innovative educational experiences.

Miss. Kinithi Jayatissa is a holder of the BCS, Professional Graduate Diploma in IT and having completed up to Managerial level of CIMA, she pursued further studies at Swinburne University of Technology in Melbourne, Australia. She graduated with a Bachelor of Business in Management and a Master of Business, in Human Resource Management.
She has over 11 years of experience in Education, as a Director of Leeds International School and Leeds Campus of Business and Technology. She heads Examinations and Assessment at Leeds International School, Singapore and is involved in the managerial activities of the Leeds Group.

She has headed the BTEC programs at Leeds Campus of Business and Technology. She is also a lecturer of Human Resource Management and a Personal and Professional Development trainer.

A member of the Examinations Board, Ms Sharon Gan has been an educator for over ten years. She joined Leeds International School in 2021. Born in Singapore, Ms Sharon spent a large part of her adolescence in different parts of the United States. For her undergraduate degree, she attended the University of Michigan-Ann Arbor and underwent teaching training at the National Institute of Education in Singapore. She has taught Science and Biology across different levels and streams at various government schools in Singapore. In 2010, she took a nine-month sabbatical to pursue a Masters of Arts in Education from Teachers College, Columbia University, USA. As her interest in exploring new places and cultures grew, she took on a teaching opportunity in Bhutan where she taught English and Biology to primary and secondary school students in private and government schools.
She believes in the importance of instilling a love of learning in her students and looks forward to growing and discovering alongside her students at Leeds International School.

Happily married with two boys, she also enjoys reading, travelling and swimming.
